Shipping

UK

We ship all UK orders with our Standard UK Shipping option which has a flat rate of £6.99 using Royal Mail. This is regardless of how many items your order contains. This usually arrives within 2-5 working days after dispatching and may take a day or two to prepare and dispatch beforehand.

EUROPEAN

European orders will be shipped using our Standard European Shipping option which starts at £12 and will increase depending on the weight of your order and how many items it contains. This will be calculated at checkout. European orders are shipped with Royal Mail and usually take 7-10 working days to arrive after dispatching. Please allow a day or two to prepare and dispatch your order beforehand too. 

INTERNATIONAL

International orders will be shipped using our Standard International Shipping option which starts at £23 and will increase depending on the weight of your order and how many items it contains. This will be calculated at checkout. International orders are shipped with Royal Mail and usually take 11-14 working days to arrive after dispatching. Please allow a day or two to prepare and dispatch your order beforehand too. 

DISPATCH AND AVAILABILITY

All of our products are made by hand so we usually work on a shop update basis whereby a batch of wares are made and then sold online. This will be promoted through our mailing list and Instagram account. When products have sold out they will be out of stock until the next update of which there are a few each year. We always aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days.

SHOP UPDATES OR EVENTS: There is often an influx of orders when we launch a shop update or have an event, so please allow a little extra time to prepare and dispatch your order if you are shopping at these times. 

NOTE: If you need your order sooner please get in touch with Elle at elle@speckledgrey.com and we will try to accommodate you. Equally if you would like to order something that is out stock, we may be able to make it to order for you. Please drop us an email to arrange this. 


Sustainability

Speckled Grey commits to working sustainably and caring for the planet. Each piece is handmade in batches and kilns are filled as efficiently as possible to reduce extra firings. All waste material is saved to be recycled and made into new pieces so that an absolute minimal amount of waste leaves our workshop. Our parcels are sent out in paper only packaging which is either recycled or recyclable, and we reuse packaging where possible. Our Thank You cards are expertly letter pressed by our friend Polly at Sister Press using FSC Certified Card and handwritten by Elle at Speckled Grey before going into your order.


Handmade

Each Speckled Grey product is handmade by Elle in her Leicester workshop. The wares are made from parian porcelain and fired up to the volatile temperatures of 1230 degrees Celsius in the kiln. This means that there may be slight imperfections or differences between each piece, but this is the nature of hand made ceramics and what makes each piece unique.


Returns

If you are not happy with your purchase, please email elle@speckledgrey.com and let us know within 7 days if you would like a refund or exchange and we can help you with the procedure. Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong piece, so that we can resolve any issues. Custom products such as special orders, commissions or personalised items cannot be refunded unless they are faulty. Please get in touch within 7 days if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We unfortunately cannot cover the postage of the product coming back to us or refund the original postage costs.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
